About MemeProof
About MemeProof
MemeProof provides timestamped proof of authorship for visual content.
When creators verify content on MemeProof, we generate a cryptographically signed record using C2PA-compatible standards. That record establishes when a work was created, who is claiming authorship, and what evidence supports that claim, creating a durable point of reference as content spreads across platforms.
Why We Built This
Copyright law already protects visual creators. The problem has never been the law. It's been proof.
Music, film, and television benefit from systems that make authorship legible at scale. Visual content does not. Images, memes, screenshots, and AI-assisted works are reposted endlessly, often stripped of context, leaving creators unable to demonstrate origin once something goes viral.
MemeProof exists to close that gap by making authorship visible, verifiable, and harder to ignore.
We provide tools for creators to enforce their rights, along with the underlying record that makes attribution and licensing possible.
What's Next
MemeProof launched publicly in February 2026. We're starting small, learning from real usage, and expanding tooling (including browser-based discovery) to help creators track where their work appears online.
